God’s blessings are apparent in every aspect of our school- academics, athletics, student leadership, community outreach, and spiritual emphasis. The following is a selection from Dr. Wood’s State of the School address, highlighting a few of our accomplishments this year.

This has been a very busy and successful year for East Hill academically, and we are even now making plans to move forward next year.  We have participated in several academic competitions- from the spelling bee, annual elementary science fair and author study, and middle school history fair.  Next year we will be holding two separate fairs- a history fair in the fall that will include middle and high school students, and a science fair in the spring for elementary and middle school students.    Our high school students were recognized for their citizenship by the local Civitan Club, awarded Presidential scholarships, and attending the state science fair and regional spelling bee.

What an amazing group of young men and women our seniors are!  Several of them have been at East Hill since kindergarten.  They are a very talented group of students, and it is going to be hard to not see their faces in the halls next year.  Our seniors have received a number of scholarships, and it is truly wonderful to see how successful they have been- to watch them go through this metamorphosis as they are about to close another chapter of their lives.

In athletics, our cross country did an outstanding job this season, and our volleyball team had a great re-building season.  Our boys soccer team won the champion award for the West Region of Panhandle Christian Conference and the entire Panhandle Christian Conference.  In addition, they came in third in the National Association of Christian Athletes Soccer Tournament in Dayton, Tennessee.  Our competition cheerleading squad won second place at the Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders Competition in Orlando.  Our winter sports also had a successful season.  Our varsity boys had a great run, and our junior varsity team received third place for the West Region of the Panhandle Christian Conference.  Our middle school boys did an outstanding job, and our middle school junior varsity came in second in the West Florida Christian Conference.  Right now our spring sports are well under way.  We currently have tennis, baseball, and softball going on, and the players are doing an amazing job at representing our school well!
