God’s blessings are apparent in every aspect of our school- academics, athletics, student leadership, community outreach, and spiritual emphasis. The following is a final portion from Dr. Wood’s State of the School address.

When we talk about our school as a partnership, we are talking about a working, enjoyable relationship between the school,  families, and alumni.  I am excited about where East Hill has been, and I am even more excited about where East Hill is going.  Re-enrollment is going well, and we are getting daily phone calls, giving daily tours, and conducting interviews for new families.  We are currently working on an academic strategic plan for the entire campus, and a technology plan.

Mr. Witter and myself are brainstorming in our planning meetings and developing new classes, new approaches to current classes, and new opportunities for professional development for our teachers.  East Hill has overcome the battles of the past.  We are committed to taking the time now to not only survive but to move forward.  East Hill Christian School is going to step out and be the school that God wants us to be- spiritually, academically, athletically.  We are in this for His purpose and it is time for us to follow His plan and succeed.  I cannot wait to see what God has in store for the future of our school- through His grace!

Renovations Underway!

This spring PTF purchased round tables and chairs as well as several serving tables.   The purchase was made in honor of all the teachers and faculty during Teacher Appreciation week and helps complete the plan for a lunchroom makeover.

The tables will also be used for banquets and other school activities.  The lunchroom will now be more user-friendly as we have tables that can completely breakdown and be removed when needed.  The room has also been freshly painted!  Stop by and see the makeover if you haven’t already.

The elementary campus will also be welcoming new additions, including gutters to eliminate flooding in walkways on rainy days, shade sails to provide cooler areas on sunny days, and a fresh coat of paint for the class and office hallways. There will be new sod laid around the elementary buildings, and new playground equipment is being ordered, including a swing set, curvy balance beam, tether ball, and covered sandbox.

Following Student Government and First Priority’s bathroom renovation project, we are planning to lay new tile in the middle/high school breezeway bathrooms.  Miscellaneous additions include new signage around campus and Set-in-Stone bricks being placed around the eagle statue in the front of the campus. Stay tuned for additional updates on renovation projects!
